Northwoods - Sheyboygan Break weekend

The cold weather prompted my brother and I to cancel camping in Michigan along the shores of Lake Michigans Green Bay.

It did indeed snow in the Michigan highlands over the weekend and it was very cold and rainy on and off. My brother and I both agreed that the weather was sub optimal for enjoyable camping. He fetched me from Iron Mtn Mi and we went a couple of hundred miles south of route to Sheyboygan, on the shore of the Great Lake Michigan.

I did ride 10-12 miles on Friday, reaching Norway MI, where I rendezvoused with my brother Bruce, who is now sporting a very vikingish beard these days.

I did get to ride some dirt and trails in the Fumee Lake park area on the way to Norway, quite nice easy trail for my fully loaded bike.

We stopped at a few water falls on the way back. There are a plethora of them in this area.

Did some hiking with mein Bruder in the Kettle Moraine state forest park at if Sheyboygan; lush country in the glacial deposits, though very wet and dripping in the light rain.
